Beautiful surroundings, but that is Wales! The soft furnishings
and the 'French' touch, eg ribbons, lace and fabrics are well thought out.
Very relaxing. Thank you,
Caroll and Martin, Lichfield, 5th Nov-12th Nov 2011

Thank you for providing such a beautiful and peaceful place to stay.
The cottage surpasses our expectations and we will miss our wonderful views
across the fields and hills.

Yorkshire, 3-10 September 2011
Thank you again, Claude and Barry, for a really wonderful and relaxing break.
The cakes and eggs* were a lovely touch!(and enjoyed enormously!)
It has been so peaceful and the weather just right for walking, that we don't
want to go!
Looking forward to returning...Many thanks
Sheil and Mike
We come from a big
city, Berlin, with large buildings and many cars, to Wales and to this nice
little cottage: is really something different.
When we woke up in the morning, I felt like a princess in my little castle.
Thank you for the nice stay.
Rose and Herbert, from Berlin,
Germany, 13-20 August 2011
What a beautiful place! The cottage is lovely, wonderful
setting and full of beautiful things to make our stay feel luxurious as well
as comfortable.
A warm welcome and helpful, friendly assistance whenever we needed. Thank you
for a lovely holiday,

What a beautiful cottage and a warm welcome, with everything we needed and thoughtful
extra touches too!
We only spent a weekend here this time, to celebrate our second wedding anniversary
but it could not have been more perfect.
Excellent sunny, warm weather made the scenery and views even more stunning
and the sunsets and sunrises were breathtaking.
The quiet and secluded location made for a very peaceful and relaxing stay.
There is definitely something very magical and special about this place that
we felt as soon as we arrived and we hope to be back very soon
and this will be the first of many visits to the Dortry! Thank you Claudia &
Barry for a fantastic stay,
PS: the drive to Aberystwyth (45m) was very worth it to see the dolphins
and red kites!
Laura and Dave, from Birmingham,
mid-June 2011
Had a fantastic break,
never known peace and tranquility like it. This is a lovely, comfortable cottage
with scenery to die for.
Would love to come back again and will certainly recommend the cottage and area
to others. Thanks,
Terry and Bernie, 3d June 2011
Thanks for a lovely, relaxing stay + for the lovely
cakes!
Had a great walk through Bluebell Woods. Nice to have the time to 'stop + stare'
+ a break from running a busy B&B.
Thanks for all the thoughtful touches in the cottage, enjoyed all the reading
material. With kind regards,

A wonderful stay in a beautiful location. The cottage
is welcoming and comfortable and so peaceful. A really relaxing getaway.
Friendly neighbours and lots to see locally- loved the little hidden church
just over the hills! Will visit again!

A great escape to
the country...Just what the doctor ordered!
Lovely cottage, beautiful surroundings and a great hostess..Thank you Claude
Ps... We did consider kidnapping the very sociable chickens!
Michelle and Ashley, Hampshire,

A veritable winter Wonderland. ALice and I spent
a peaceful and romantic week here over new Year's.
It was exactly what we wanted: seclusion, wildlife and a log fire. We can't
wait to come back.
Nick and Alice, from the New Forest, 02/01/2011
Lovely cottage, exactly what we wanted.
Snowed in all week-end but didn't mind as it was so peaceful and scenery was
stunning.
Advice to future guests: Don't use Cefn LLys Lane in the snow. We got stuck.
Woops!! :-) Thank you,
Danny & Katie, 6th December 2010
* Note: Some eggs will welcome you in the cottage when our hens are in the mood, and in the right season! Unfotunately we lost 3 hens to the fox and they have mostly stopped laying now we are in the Autumn-Winter. But do come next spring for eggs!
